A comprehensive, documented API describes the MPU base class; memory maps, serial I/O to daughterboards, etc. The developer can use a free, standard MIPS GNU toolchain to develop bespoke C/C++ applications. An optional VoIP Transcoding API is available which provides higher level functions.
OpenTSP NG Base Daughterboard
The OpenTSP NG Base Daughterboard (purchased seperatly) allows usage of OpenTSP NG daughterboards in smaller production environments that do not require the processing power of the OpenTSP NG Octeon Network Processing Unit, prototyping Vocallo applications and easy testing of in-house developed daughterboards following the OpenTSP NG standard.
The Base Daughterboard needs a single 5V DC powersupply (adapter supplied) and provides LED indicators (power and data), a Reset button and several connections to the DUT and outside world like 1 GbE, I2C for general purpose functions, serial connector for management functions, SPI connector for FLASH programming and a JTAG Boundery scan connector.
